TEAM OF THE WEEK | Spring Season Week 11

Indy's Eamon Zayed, Minnesota's Christian Ramirez, and FC Edmonton's Jake Keegan highlight the final Team of the Week in the Spring Season

Indy Eleven was crowned Spring Season Champions after a stunning performance from Eamon Zayed. The Irishman scored three goals and is joined by his teammates Colin Falvey and Nemanja Vukovic on the Team of the Week after the club won its first trophy. Minnesota United's Christian Ramirez and FC Edmonton's Jake Keegan also put in game-winning performances, while also adding goals.

See who else provided key contributions to make the final Team of the Week of the Spring Season: 

GK: Daniel Fernandes (Rayo OKC) – The veteran shot-stopper made six saves to help Rayo OKC earn a 1-1 draw against Ottawa Fury FC.

DEF: Eddie Edward (FC Edmonton) – He was a rock in the back line for the Eddies to help quell a streaking Fort Lauderdale Strikers side. He won 10 of his 11 duels and made six interceptions in the 2-1 win.

DEF: Kevin Venegas (Minnesota United) – The fullback continued to be a force to be reckoned with on the flank for Minnesota. He had one assist on two chances created and completed 37 of his 47 passes. He also won seven duels and made three interceptions and one clearance in the 3-1 win over Miami FC.

DEF: Colin Falvey (Indy Eleven) – The sturdy center back provided another strong performance as Indy defeated the Carolina RailHawks, 4-1. Falvey won all four of his duels and made one clearance and four interceptions. He also got up into the attack, creating two chances.

DEF: Nemanja Vukovic (Indy Eleven) – He has become an integral part of Indy’s defense and attack in short order. Vukovic tallied two assists against Carolina, and, at the back, he won two tackles and nine duels. He also made three interceptions and one clearance.  

MID: Junior Sandoval (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He scored a goal in the 1-1 draw with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, but was a creative force for Jacksonville throughout. He created four chances for his teammates and took four total shots.

MID: Joe Cole (Tampa Bay Rowdies) – The English star continues to play a key role since his arrival with the Rowdies. He tallied the assist for Junior Burgos’ equalizer, and created two total chances, while winning his two tackle attempts and six of his eight duels.

MID: Jake Keegan (FC Edmonton) – He bagged a brace against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers to help the Eddies close out the Spring Season in strong fashion.

FWD: Christian Ramirez (Minnesota United) – He had another stellar game leading the line for the Loons. He opened the scoring with a header at the back post and also created the Loons’ third tally to ice off the game against Miami.

FWD: Carl Haworth (Ottawa Fury FC) – The Canadian forward continues to emerge as an important piece to Ottawa’s attack. Haworth took 70 touches in the game, hit the target on three of his seven shots, created two chances, and scored the equalizing goal on a top-shelf free kick against Rayo OKC.  

FWD: Eamon Zayed (Indy Eleven) – The Irish-born Libyan international put on a tremendous performance to score a hat trick in a crucial game for the Boys in Blue. He was active in the attack all night, hitting the target on five of his seven shots.
