The Independent Supporters Council, an organization which brings together soccer supporters' clubs representing MLS, NASL, USL, and NPSL, held their annual meeting January 22 and 23 in Chicago.

During the event Triangle Soccer Fanatics was recognized by the ISC as the Philanthropic Supporters Group of the Year for our contributions to the community. In particular, the council recognized TSF for creating community projects that work directly with Carolina RailHawks' players and supporting the player's charity interests.

In 2015, Triangle Soccer Fanatics raised over $500 in collaboration with RailHawks midfielder Nazmi Albadawi in memory of three of the player's close friends who were killed earlier in the year in Chapel Hill. The funds raised were donated to the Deah's Syrian Dental Relief Fund started by Nazmi's friends before their deaths. Previously, TSF had worked with longtime RailHawks player Kupono Low to raise money for the Fill Your Bucket List foundation. A full history of the organizations philanthropic efforts can be found on our Community page.

Other finalist for the ISC philanthropy award included The Sons of Ben (Philadelphia Union), The Timbers Army (Portland Timbers), Gorilla FC (Seattle Sounders), and The Crocketeers (San Antonio Scorpions).
