The RailHawks are traveling to the Lone Star State for a match against the San Antonio Scorpions at Toyota Field on Wednesday at 8:30 pm ET.

“We got a great result last weekend against the Silverbacks,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said. “We are looking to keep the momentum going against San Antonio. Our players have been working hard and we are determined to get three points on the road.”

Wednesday’s faceoff will be the second time the two teams have met in the Fall Season, with their last match resulting in a 3-2 RailHawks home win in July.

The RailHawks currently sit only five points off of a postseason berth with just under half of the Fall Season yet to be played. The San Antonio Scorpions are sitting in last place of both the Combined and Fall Season Standings with 21 points and nine points, respectively.

Carolina is coming off of a 2-0 home shutout victory against the Atlanta Silverbacks. It was Akita Fitzgerald’s first shutout of the Fall Season.

In the team’s last match, Nazmi Albadawi scored his third goal in two games when the midfielder put his team on the scoreboard in the 24th minute. Minutes later, captain Connor Tobin added his second goal of the year to put the team up 2-0, where the score would remain.

The San Antonio Scorpions are coming off a 1-0 home loss against Ottawa Fury FC. Ottawa’s lone goal came in the 52nd minute off a header from Oliver.
