The Fort Lauderdale Strikers today announced the transfer of forward Aly Alberto Hassan to Ottawa Fury FC of the North American Soccer League. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hassan, 26, has been a member of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers since 2012. The Weston, Florida native played 52 competitive matches for the Strikers and scored a total of 12 goals in four years with the club.

“It’s always tough to lose a player of Aly’s character and quality, but this is a great opportunity for him,” said Strikers General Manager Amaury Nunes. “We granted the request based on his desire. He has done a lot for this club in his time with the Strikers and wish him well in this next chapter of his career.”

Hassan made one start in four appearances for the Strikers in the 2015 NASL Spring Season.

The Strikers also announced the departures of defenders Ryan Adeleye and Stephane Guillaume. Both players’ contracts expired at the conclusion of the NASL Spring Season. Adeleye, 28, was acquired by the Strikers in January and made two appearances for the Strikers, both starts. Former Haitian international right back Guillaume, 31, joined Fort Lauderdale in 2013 and played a total of 21 matches for the club, including a lone appearance in 2015.
