FC Edmonton and the Vancouver Whitecaps finished level on goals, but the Eddies will take a vital away goal back to Clarke Field for the second leg of the Amway Canadian Championship after the 1-1 draw. 

Tomi Ameobi opened the scoring in the fourth minute after winning the ball off of Gershon Koffie to score the opener. Koffie, however, would get redemption with the game-tying goal in the 87th minute.
