With the New York Cosmos set to take on their long-standing rivals, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, in their home opener on Saturday, the Empire State Building will be lit green.

Cosmos legends, Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer, were on hand for the lighting ceremony on Friday, making it official at 1:45 p.m. at New York City's iconic building.

Both former players, who were fixtures on the Cosmos’ NASL Golden Era teams, will attend the club's first home match of 2015. It will be the first match that Beckenbauer has attended since the club’s return in the 2013 Fall Season.

The home opener, kicking off at 7 p.m. ET, will also mark Raúl’s home debut. The legendary Spanish forward scored his first North American Soccer League (NASL) goal in a 1-1 draw with Indy Eleven last weekend."
