Renowned sportswear brand Admiral will outfit Minnesota United FC and their fans with new jerseys and sportswear during the 2013 season.
Minnesota United FC unveiled a new team name, logo and jersey design on March 5. Variations of the new team logo and uniforms can be downloaded from http://bit.ly/MNUnitedFiles.
Minnesota United FC players will begin wearing the jerseys in mid-2013, sporting temporary jerseys in the meantime. New fan sportswear – including jerseys, t-shirts, polos and other merchandise – will be available this spring.
“The jersey’s clean, modern design centers around the new logo, which features a strong depiction of a bird and a star as a nod to our recent title and our home, the North Star State,” said Djorn Buchholz, team executive, Minnesota United FC. “Admiral has proven to be a solid partner, which is why we’re turning to them to create the uniforms and sportswear that will bring our new identity to life.”
Minnesota United FC’s renewed contract with Admiral marks the sportswear brand’s third year as the team’s official uniform supplier. Founded in 1914, Admiral helped create the concept of the branded soccer jersey in England, and supplied jerseys to the original NASL. Admiral now produces uniforms for many of the NASL teams as well as various sports teams around the world.
