The reigning NASL Soccer Bowl Champions Tampa Bay Rowdies will start the 2013 campaign by hosting the Carolina RailHawks in its 2013 home opener on Saturday, April 6 at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg. This will be a rematch of the 2012 NASL Playoffs Semifinals, where the Rowdies defeated Carolina 5-4 on aggregate.

The Rowdies will continue their quest to defend the NASL Soccer Bowl title the following week when they travel to play the 2012 regular season champions San Antonio Scorpions on Saturday, April 13. The game will be the first-ever NASL match played in the Scorpions’ newly built 8,500-seat soccer-specific stadium, Toyota Field.

One of the most anticipated matchups of the season will come in weeks seven and eight when the Rowdies face Minnesota in a rematch of the 2012 NASL Soccer Bowl Finals. Like the 2012 NASL Soccer Bowl, Tampa Bay will first travel to play Minnesota on Saturday, May 18, and then the Rowdies will host the Stars the following weekend at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday, May 25.

The 2013 Spring Season will also feature the continuation of the rivalry between the Rowdies and the Strikers, with Ft. Lauderdale hosting the first match on Saturday, April 27. A great Rowdies tradition is continued on Thursday, July 4 when the Rowdies host the Strikers with the match followed by fireworks.

All teams will play each other once at home and once on the road, with each team playing 12 games between April 6 and July 4.  The team that tops the standings at the summer break will qualify for the 2013 NASL Soccer Bowl as the host team. The Soccer Bowl will be held the weekend of November 16, where the Spring Season champion will face the Fall Season champion.
