Islanders Announce the Return of Ramos & Marrero

The Puerto Rico Islanders announced today that Puerto Rican Internationals Héctor "Pito" Ramos and Joseph "Jackie" Marrero will remain with the Club.  As per Club policy, the terms of the agreements have not been revealed.

Hector "Pito" Ramos delivered a series of impressive performances in the 1070 minutes of action . Ramos netted 3 goals and provided 1 assist during the season. The Maunabo native appeared in the CONCACAF Champions League, with his most memorable night coming at home in the 3-0 against Isidro Metapán, scoring a brace. The towering striker also saw action with the Puertorican National Team and became the all time goal scoring leader for the "Huracán Azul" with 11 goals.

Joseph "Jackie" Marrero,  a fan favorite, returns for his second season with the Islanders.  The young midfielder had of his best nights with the Islanders  in the 0-0 draw at home against the MLS Champions' LA Galaxy on CONCACAF Champions League providing speed and agility off the bench. The San Juan native has been called up to action with the Puerto Rico National Team and is also an integral part of the U-20 National Team that has reached the final stage of the World Cup Qualifiers next year in Puebla, Mexico.
