Match Preview: Edmonton vs. Fort Lauderdale
FC Edmonton Hosts Strikers on Sunday

This is the fourth and final match between the Strikers and the Eddies in 2012.  Fort Lauderdale has two wins and one loss this year against Edmonton, each game ending in a score of 1-0.  The home side has won each of the teams’ three encounters this season.

The Strikers have four wins, one draw and two losses in the regular season against the Eddies dating back to 2011.  Andy Herron has scored Fort Lauderdale’s two goals against Edmonton in 2012, and Matt Glaeser, who has played every minute of this season, has two clean sheets in the series’ three games.

Although the Eddies occupy last place in the NASL standings, the team has tied playoff-bound teams in two of its last three matches.  Shaun Saiko and Kyle Porter,  lead Edmonton’s attack. Saiko is also tied for second in the league in assists with six on the year. The "Eddies" will finish up their 2012 campaign with this game, while the Strikers will play at either Carolina or Puerto Rico in the NASL Quarterfinals the weekend of Septmeber 29-30
