Scorpions Lose to Islanders In Front of 13,151
San Antonio Home Opener Successful

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (April 15, 2012) - The San Antonio Scorpions played their first ever home match in the North American Soccer League (NASL) vs. the Puerto Rico Islanders at a sold out Heroes Stadium in front of 13,151.

The Islanders spolied the occasion with a 4-0 victory. Jonathan Faña scored twice for the Islanders while David Foley and Nicholas Addlery also scored.

“The boys were fantastic this evening. Every single player did their part and the support from the Islander fans here and in Puerto Rico has been awesome. Preparation for next match against FC Edmonton starts now.” said Head Coach Adrian Whitbread.

The Scorpions will look to regroup as they have a short week when they host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers next Saturday, April 21.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CDT. The Islanders travel home to face FC Edmonton this Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm AST.
