Baymon, Puerto Rico, November 9th 2011. The Puerto Rico Islanders announced today that Dominican international, Johnathan Faña has re-signed with the club. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Im very happy to come back to the club. I feel very comfortable with the coaching staff, the front office and especially the staff ," said Faña

Faña was the led the team with 12 goals in 2011. He was also the third leading scorer in the North American Soccer League (NASL). Faña was named Islanders Player of the Year by the Coaching Staff, his teammates and the fans. Faña joined the team in 2010, and will play his third season with the club in 2012.

“The signing of Faña is very important to the club. He is a proven goal scorer in the NASL, and has won over the respect  of the front office, coaching staff, players and fans.
