Proctor first began his professional soccer career with Hibernian FC at the age of 17, where he signed his first professional contract. In 2003, he moved to Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the next three years. From there, he spent a year with Dundee United and then moved back to Inverness for the following five seasons. Upon his release from Inverness, he was spotted by FC Edmonton and moved to Canada in the summer of 2012.
Proctor also spent a period on trial in Bulgaria and also has his UEFA B coaching license.
