2012: South Florida native Lionel Brown signed his first professional with his hometown side, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers ahead of the 2012 North American Soccer League season. The club announced his signing, along with Darnell King and Hosman Ramos, on March 27, 2012. College: Brown started his college soccer career at East Central Junior College in St. Louis. A starter his first two seasons, Brown recorded an impressive record of 25-12-6 and kept 16 clean sheets. Brown was named to the First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference. Brown transferred to the University of Connecticut from East Central College his junior year, and stayed with the Huskies through the 2011 season. Personal: South Florida native Lionel Brown attended Coconut Creek High School. He was team captain and BCAA All-Star Goalie and an All-State Honorable Mention. |
