The NASL board has charged the President with the responsibility to
appoint a disciplinary committee as necessary.
For the 2003/2004
season the following are the Members of that committee.
The president is an ex-officio member of all committees and does not have
a vote in any matter before the committee.
The committee gathers information about any
incident that occurs involving NASL participants. This could include
players, coaches, managers, parents, etc.
The process would generally proceed as follows:
-
A report is received
regarding an incident.
-
The committee
solicits information from the involved parties.
-
The committee
reviews all received information.
-
The committee then
issues a ruling.
-
If the incident is
founded, the committee considers some type of punishment.
-
This has ranged from
a warning to a suspension.
-
Once a decision is
reached, the punishment is issued to the president of the club and that
person make arrangements to guarantee that the proposed punishment is
carried out.
