The NASL Team of the Week is selected based on performances each weekend and features the best XI players in their respective positions.

Here is this week’s Best XI:



Kamil Čontofalský, Fort Lauderdale Strikers – Slovakian made several clutch saves against Indy to earn his second NASL shutout



Rafael Alves, Fort Lauderdale Strikers – Brazilian was solid in the backline in the shutout against Indy and victory over Ottawa

Justin Davis, Minnesota United FC – Controlled the defensive line and assisted on the second goal against Edmonton

Stephen DeRoux, San Antonio Scorpions – Jamaican had standout performance San Antonio’s backline and shutdown any offense attack

Tamika Mkandawire, Tampa Bay Rowdies – Malawi native was impressive on defense, while scoring his first NASL goal



Daniel Mendes, Minnesota United FC – Brazilian notched two goals, including the game-winner to extend Minnesota’s unbeaten streak to nine matches

Walter Restrepo, San Antonio Scorpions – Set the pace in the midfield, while creating scoring opportunities for San Antonio

Darel Russell, Tampa Bay Rowdies – English native was solid in the midfield and his first NASL goal gave his side the win over Carolina

Marcos Senna, New York Cosmos – Spanish international scored his second game-winning goal in 2014 and fourth of his NASL career for New York



Andrés Flores, New York Cosmos – El Salvadorian international was key on the offensive attack and scored his first NASL goal

Darnell King, Fort Lauderdale Strikers – Had two solid games and created chances, while scoring the game-winner against Ottawa
