Minnesota United Announces Partnership With Twin Cities Orthopedics

Minnesota United is proud to announce a partnership with Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) as the Official Team Physicians and Trainers for Minnesota United FC heading into the 2014 North American Soccer League (NASL) season.

“The TCO partnership with Minnesota United FC provides a great opportunity for TCO to further showcase our high quality sports medicine programs,” said Twin Cities Orthopedics CEO, Troy Simonson.  “We look forward to a long-term partnership with Minnesota United FC and the soccer community.”

Twin Cities Orthopedics will support Minnesota United with two specialty trained Certified Athletic Trainers to provide expert care on the field and in the training room.

“The trainers and the doctors that help our athletes maintain their bodies at peak levels of fitness are as much a part of our success on the field as anybody in this organization,” said club president Nick Rogers. “We are thrilled to bring Twin Cities Orthopedics onto our team. It is not possible to be successful in professional sports without a great staff of medical professionals behind you and Twin Cities Orthopedics will be a big part of our success this year.”

TCO physicians, Dr. Corey Wulf, a Board Certified Sports Medicine Surgeon and Dr. Brad Moser, a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician, will bring advanced knowledge and experience in taking care of professional and amateur athletes to Minnesota United.

“Taking care of athletes has been central to my life, both personally and professionally,” said Dr. Wulf. “We are excited to bring our knowledge and expertise to soccer’s highest level with Minnesota United.  We strive to keep athletes where they belong and for Minnesota United that is on the pitch in pursuit of another NASL Championship!”

Minnesota United opens its season April 12th on the road against the San Antonio Scorpions and at home April 26th against FC Edmonton. All United home games will take place at National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minn. Minnesota is now accepting season ticket deposits for the 2014 North American Soccer League season.
